Distinctive Features of Loft-Style Bedroom Furniture
The loft style made a bold entrance into Polish interiors several years ago, and there’s no sign that this trend is coming to an end. Quite the contrary! The popularity of loft-style interiors continues to grow. We’re now designing almost every room in the house in a loft style, including bedrooms, and more and more loft-style furniture for bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and even bathrooms is appearing on the market.
What’s the best formula for a loft-style bedroom? Let’s start by noting that the loft style is all about the art of blending contrasts. After all, the loft style itself grew out of the raw industrial aesthetic, where factory materials—metal, brick, and concrete—reign supreme. The loft style has embraced this raw, minimalist aesthetic while adapting it to contemporary homes, warming it up and adding coziness through the use of wood, greenery, and soft fabrics. This ensures that interiors designed in this style are minimalist, modern, and yet very cozy.
So, designing a loft-style bedroom should begin as early as the wall-finishing stage. The loft style favors brick—whether in its natural colors, whitewashed, or gray or black clinker. Natural or architectural concrete, textured paints, and wallpapers that mimic an uneven, rough surface also work very well. These materials look interesting when combined; for example, you can cover the wall behind the bed in a loft-style bedroom with brick, while covering the rest with concrete or even plain gray or white paint.
The walls, however, are just the beginning, because the hardest work is yet to come loft-style bedroom furniture and accessories! If you’re not sure what industrial-style beds or loft-style bedroom closets look like, head to any furniture store—you’ll definitely recognize them right away. Loft-style bedroom furniture has its own unique style, the most important feature of which is… successful combinations. Loft-style bedroom furniture is rarely available in a single color. Manufacturers generally combine the warm tones of wood or wood-grain finishes with black or gray. Furniture in a modern loft style is made of particleboard, natural wood, and metal, or materials that mimic these materials.. These materials can be combined in a single piece of furniture in various proportions—sometimes chrome-plated metal dominates, while other times it’s the warm, wood-toned finish.
And that’s exactly what the loft-style bedroom furniture from the QUANT collection is like. The unique charm of QUANT furniture comes from the combination of an interesting design, a warm wood finish with a distinct grain, and matte black accents. Lighting also plays a huge role, highlighting the furniture’s form and helping to create a cozy atmosphere in the evening. The furniture rests on geometric, black supports that simultaneously frame the pieces, accentuating their bold shapes. The modern design is further emphasized by smooth, handle-free fronts.
Loft-style bedroom furniture
Loft-style bedroom furniture is designed to fit into almost any bedroom, including a small bedroom in an apartment building or an attic bedroom. Designers also ensure that loft-style furniture is not only stylish and designer-inspired, but also functional. In the QUANT collection of loft-style bedroom furniture, you’ll find a comfortable bed in two sizes (for mattresses 160 and 180 cm wide), two nightstands, a dresser with spacious drawers, and a choice of two wardrobes. In short, everything you need to furnish your dream loft bedroom.
The most important piece of furniture in any bedroom is the bed—including in loft-style and industrial-style bedrooms. A loft-style or industrial-style bed can be made of wood or furniture board that mimics the natural color of wood. Both styles are also characterized by the inclusion of black or steel-colored metal accents. Metal elements may include the legs, headboard, base, or decorative accents. A loft-style bed—and especially an industrial-style bed—can also be made entirely of metal. Some loft-style bedroom furniture features details made of furniture board that closely resembles steel instead of metal.
The QUANT loft bed is made of high-quality furniture board. The storage compartment and headboard feature a wood-grain finish, while the base and headboard frame are made of black MDF. The headboard of the QUANT industrial-style bed is equipped with LED lighting. It’s the perfect solution for anyone who doesn’t like sleeping in complete darkness.
But the real highlight is hidden under the mattress. The QUANT loft bed comes with a huge storage compartment—intended for bedding in theory, but in practice, it can hold not only bedding but also various family items, such as a suitcase, seasonal clothes, or small sports equipment. This storage compartment is like a large closet for everything that didn’t fit in the loft bedroom closet. When choosing a loft bed with storage, make sure it opens and closes easily and smoothly. After all, you’ll be using it often, so it shouldn’t be a hassle.
And what should you put next to the bed? Bedside tables are best. If space allows, it’s a good idea to have one table on each side of the bed. In small bedrooms, especially those where one side of the bed is pushed up against the wall, one nightstand is enough. Ideally, it should have a drawer and/or a cabinet for various bedroom essentials.
Loft-style dresser for the bedroom
A wardrobe and a dresser are the two most important pieces of storage furniture that should be in every bedroom, space permitting. Why is a dresser so important? Because, thanks to its drawers, it allows you to conveniently store all your small clothing items—underwear, socks, ties, belts, and women’s scarves. The number of drawers in a loft-style bedroom dresser should be tailored to how many items you want to store in it. But of course—the more, the better. Plus, wide dressers look great in trendy loft-style interiors.
What should a loft-style wardrobe and dresser for the bedroom look like? The furniture should definitely have legs—slender or geometric, black or chrome, made of metal or dark particleboard. Lighting is also very important in loft-style bedroom furniture. Lighting mounted on the furniture fronts perfectly highlights the design of the pieces and helps create a romantic atmosphere, especially in the evening.
The QUANT loft-style bedroom furniture set includes a very spacious chest of drawers with six deep drawers, large enough to hold both partners’ small items. The rest of your wardrobe will fit in the huge closet. The collection includes two loft-style bedroom wardrobes—a smaller one with sliding doors and a larger one with classic hinged doors. This allows everyone to choose the perfect wardrobe—a larger one for spacious rooms or a compact one for smaller bedrooms. Both wardrobes are equipped with two hanging rods and two vertical sections with shelves, and at the top there are additional, very spacious shelves for larger or less frequently used items. Both wardrobes feature large mirrors on the fronts, allowing you to easily see your entire reflection.
Loft-style bedroom in the attic
The attic in a single-family home is the perfect place to set up a bedroom. The sloped roof and skylights help create a unique and cozy atmosphere. If you’re dreaming of a loft-style bedroom, there’s nothing stopping you from planning it in the attic. Loft-style decor looks best in high-ceilinged attics. As early as the design phase, it’s a good idea to decide not to cover the ceiling beams, which can become a design feature of your loft-style attic bedroom. This approach will also make your loft-style attic feel more spacious.
The QUANT loft-style bedroom furniture has been designed to help you create a stylish loft space. However, it’s important to arrange the pieces properly to make the most of the high and low walls. That’s why you should place a wardrobe against the tallest wall and, for example, a dresser against the shorter one. The bed can be placed against the sloped ceiling, but in such a way that you can move around it comfortably without hitting your head when getting out of bed.
The bedroom is a special place in every home. It’s a private sanctuary accessible only to household members. Since we don’t entertain guests in the bedroom, we design this space just for ourselves and in line with our favorite style. And that means nothing should hold us back. If we dream of a loft-style bedroom, that’s exactly how we should design it. The specially designed QUANT loft-style bedroom furniture will help us achieve this, making it easy to create a loft-style decor and a WOW effect.
