Vertical half-box springs are available in as many as five sizes—for mattresses 90, 120, 140, 160, and even 180 cm wide. The same applies to horizontal Murphy bed frames—these are available in widths of 90, 120, 140, and 160 cm. Each half-bed frame variant is available for a 200-cm-long mattress.

Depending on the model, the components of the BED CONCEPT system are made of laminated board and MDF. Both materials are highly resistant to scratches, damage, moisture, and high temperatures. The bodies and fronts are finished with durable ABS edging. The slatted frame is made of wood, and the handle is made of leather. The support mechanism and frame are made of metal, which directly contributes to their high durability.

When folded, the bed looks like an elegant, minimalist-style cabinet. The smooth, handle-free fronts create a sense of order and highlight the piece’s elegant style. It’s also worth noting the support on which the unfolded bed rests—when closed, the base blends seamlessly into the shape of the front panel.

We’ve equipped the semi-canopy beds with a special pneumatic system that makes closing and opening the bed light and easy for everyone in the household, including children.

To open the BED CONCEPT Murphy bed, simply pull gently on the leather handle. That’s all there is to it. Thanks to the pneumatic lifts, the bed will lower gently and smoothly until it rests on the floor. Closing the daybed also requires minimal effort. Simply lift the bed slightly off the floor, and the pneumatic lifts will automatically begin to close the system. Finally, click the frame with the mattress into the bed’s base.

What about the bedding? A huge advantage of Murphy bed is that you don’t have to find a separate place to store your comforter and pillows. It’s simple—your daily bedding disappears along with the bed. This is made possible by straps with clips that hold the bedding in place. That’s great news for those who don’t like making their beds or simply don’t have time for it.

Today’s Murphy bed are designed for a wide variety of rooms, including living rooms. A fold-away bed is the best solution for parents who don’t have a separate bedroom or have had to give theirs up to their children. What should you keep in mind?

All Murphy bed from the CONCEPT line are available without a mattress. The bed’s design allows it to be paired with any mattress up to 20 cm thick. We recommend using lightweight mattresses—either Bonell or innerspring. It’s best to check the maximum mattress weight on the specific model’s page or in the assembly instructions. The half-canopy bed must be secured to the wall—this will ensure the bed is stable and safe.
